Recap: Roma

Hey!

I wanted to end this week with a recap of our breathtaking trip to Rome, Italy. To say that I was taken by the city would be an understatement. Now, there is more to Rome than the fine art, food, and wine. The food and wine were definitely some of my favorite parts of every trip, but Rome was so much more. There was so much history and beauty in Roma that I don't think I was able to process it in the time we had. When I go back, I want to spend a couple days experiencing and soaking in all that Roma has to offer.

Rome has many ancient historical icons including the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Pantheon. Not to mention the beautiful Vatican City and St. Peter's Basilica... To pick a favorite aspect of this city would be impossible. Just thinking about the history of the Roman Empire and how it has been preserved in this city is mind-blowing.

I wouldn't be able to talk about this spectacular city in just one blog post... so I'm going to finish by saying that you should all visit Roma if you get a chance! It's definitely worth it.

Gelato date with the Colosseum.

There was history on every corner of this city.

Wine... Perfect end to every day.

Have any of you been to Roma? Let me know your experiences and favorite adventures. :)

Ari

Over the Shoulder

Happy hump day!

I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am that it's Wednesday. I think I'll make it to the weekend! I knew Med school would require a lot of time and studying but I didn't think it would be this much. I am so busy! Hopefully, everything will come much easier with time!

This was a look I wore to school the other day. I had taken a bunch of pictures when I realized I was wearing my badge.. whoops! It all worked out in the end, though. This over-the-shoulder crop top is different and so flattering. I love it! When I saw it online, I had to have it! It is so unique. I also like the little peak of skin. It's tasteful, yet fun! I threw in my favorite denim shorts and some studded, gladiator sandals that definitely make a statement. I scored these earrings at the NSale and I'm in LOVE. I can do glitter on everything..

Floral Midi

Happy Friday!

I wore this charming midi skirt to a friends wedding a few weeks ago. The wedding was absolutely darling! Complete with hints of blush pink, desserts, perfect weather, and lots of love. Not to be too cheesy. ;) I adore the way this skirt fits around the waist and then flows outward. It's dressy enough for a wedding without being too over the top. Plus, who doesn't love a little vintage twist once in a while!

I finished the look with a plain black crop top and suede black pumps. I think this skirt is loud enough to be paired with any neutrals/basics. It definitely has enough personality to rock the spotlight! I also wore my much beloved favorite mm bag as a clutch with this outfit. As I've mentioned in earlier posts, I love that this purse is so versatile and classic! I would say it's an absolute must for any collection.

Easy Breezy

There are few things I love more than a flowy shirtdress. It is just so easy but you end up looking put-together! This dress cinches flatteringly at the waist and is the perfect length. I wore it for a day spent outside, walking and running errands. It was perfect for the occasion! I added some of my signature blush pink accessories, also. The tote was a gift from my amazing sister and its perfect for school because it is light, roomy, and has a padded space for my laptop! Plus the color doesn't hurt. ;) Oh, and the pouf charm kills me! SO CUTE!

Speaking of school, my program incorporates public health into the curriculum and these past two weeks have been all about that. I have learned so much and grown as an individual. It's been busy but incredible!

Little Crochet Dress

Hope everyone had a stellar weekend!

For me, this weekend was full of some much needed R&R. My favorite part of this weekend was having a lovely girls' night full of wine, dark chocolate, and (an overwhelmingly large amount of) yummy snack foods! Junk food and wine for dinner...because we're adults. ;)

My usual style involves a bit of grunge so this outfit is a little out of my comfort zone. I loved it though because I felt so girly in it! (And that's never a bad thing!) This look features this darling crochet dress that is both gorgeous and comfy. I finished the outfit with some girly blush pink accessories including my favorite Kate Spade purse. These adorable d'orsay flats are SO comfortable... I'm basically wearing them 24/7.

Beautiful Blue

Hello, Friday! I'm so ready for a weekend after my first week at medical school. Don't get me wrong. I'm so excited and grateful but the 8 AM to 6 PM schedule was rough. I can't wait to just lay around and eat all weekend! Haha!

This is the look I wore to a little grad party my parents hosted for family friends. I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it! Oh, and check out the price. ;) These earrings are my favorite statement piece. I feel like a clutch that looks like a book is SO ME. Aaron gifted it to me a few years ago and I can't get enough! I added my favorite rings and nude pumps to complete the look.

What's New: Beauty Essentials

Hey guys!

Today's post is about recent additions to my beauty and makeup routine! I am like a kid at a candy shop at Sephora. I can spend hours in there playing with the various products! I placed this order a few days ago and I'm going to have to go back for this and this

Anyways, on to the products:

1.  The MakeUp Eraser: I have heard such great things about this. I love the fact that it is gentle yet effective. Also, it is washable so you don't have to keep repurchasing something to remove makeup. Win, win situation!

2.  Boscia Lumizing Black Mask: This mask provides immediate results! It's like a pore strip but for your entire face. You can see the gunk that is removed on the mask! It just hurts a little when you remove it due to the little hairs on your face, but I expected that.

3.  Glamglow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment: This has been on my "to try" list for a while now and I'm glad I finally purchased it! I have been using it as a spot treatment and have noticed a bit of a difference. I think it will be even more effective over time!

4.  Bobbi Brown Long-wear Cream Shadow Stick: I got this as a Sephora "100 point perk." The color is so universal. It's one of those shades that you can wear on its own and it stays put all day! I think I need some other colors...

5.  Dolce & Gabbana 'Light Blue': This was another "perk." I tend to switch out my fragrances quite a bit because I just get over them. Deluxe samples of fragrances are perfect for me because: A. they're free and B. I can use it up before I get sick of the scent! This one is light and perfect for summer!

6.  Marc Jacobs 'Daisy': It's all in the name.

7. Benefit 'They're Real!' Remover: I have used Benefit's 'They're Real!' Mascara in the past and it was so volumizing and lengthening! The only reason I stopped using it is that it was IMPOSSIBLE to remove. This product claims to remove waterproof makeup but I have yet to try it.

Any new products you've been loving lately??

Kriti

Twirling in Burgundy

Hello, everybody! Here's to the start of another great week, am I right?

This weekend we hosted a Graduation/Medical School/Birthday soiree for my sister. It was definitely an event given that we partied past 2 am and that there were over 100 people. I still can't believe that... Anyways, I'm really proud of everything she has accomplished thus far, who she is, and what she aspires to be in the future. Gosh, here I go being all sappy again...

This look features a new (and already a favorite) dress of mine paired with some nude heels, a classic purse, and some edgy accessories. I love giving the spotlight to articles of clothing with a lot of personality. This dress is absolutely DARLING. It is a maxi-dress that becomes sheer towards the bottom, which makes it both formal and fun. To top it off, it has the cutest details and back. Like I've mentioned before, I'm a huge fan of these ear cuffs. They are fancy enough for a night out and edgy enough for my style. I have them in both gold and silver! (And I plan on buying more...) I also added my pandora bracelet for a personal touch to the look. Lastly, this Favorite MM bag is classic and perfect for every event in life. You can never go wrong with a timeless bag like this!

Twirling around in this dress is so much fun!

Palm Picnic

Starting posts with "Happy Friday!" makes me super happy!

I recently turned 22 and to celebrate, we went on a little picnic! One of Aaron's presents to me was this cute bike. We rode our bikes to a quaint part and set up with cheese, baguette, and fruit. It had rained the night before so the temperature was perfect. I had a lot of fun!

I recently picked up this dress up in-store at H&M and it was SO affordable! I was really surprised because the quality way surpassed what I expect at its price point. I couldn't find it online so it may just be an in-store thing. I threw on a floppy hat and sunnies to keep the sun out of my face. My peep-toe booties were comfortable enough to ride a bike in! I completed the look with my favorite summer bag.

Feeling 22 (ooo hoo oo) ;)
